Campaign For Real NicenessFrom $1Table of contentsNo headersThere is an apparent need on /talk for promotion of niceness. We have arrived at a point where we resemble a bunch of bitter old farts who gain their kicks from making other people feel bad. I fear that we may lose the unique freedom of speech which makes /talk such a special place through fear of reprisal. Many of us feel a desire to promote the reintroduction of niceness to the board, encouraging a supportive atmosphere and trying to be nice to people without losing the sense of sick, silly and the reduced effect of taboo. Whilst the attempt to discourage nastiness may be seen as a restriction on the ability to say anything on the board, I believe it will have the opposite effect, with people no longer too concerned about being bullied to speak their minds.
It is with me in mind that I compile the following list of personal aims; although I expect them to be challenged, rewritten, deleted and added to many times once conversations take place about them. I have been guilty myself of behaving increasing poorly over the past few years. I am going to try to change this and would like to unconditionally apologise to all the people I have attempted to make feel like shit in the past, regardless of whether or not I succeeded.
To make it clear, I still want to be able to call people cunts, but in a way and environment where I can be certain this will not make them feel shit.
Thank you for your time in reading this. Your feedback would be welcomed as would you active involvement in pushing this campaign until it gets off the ground.

1. Avoid making people feel shit. 2. The end.
